OUR STORY

Lindsey Hull combined her love for dance and passion for teaching to start Dance Connections in 2005.

Originally focused on private lessons for middle school, high school, and collegiate dancers, Lindsey discovered her sweet spot serving beginner dancers with in-home lessons and classes at established locations in 2008. Today, Lindsey has grown her team beyond herself in order to open doors to connect more children to dance. 

Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, childhood is when Lindsey was first introduced to dance. A studio in her hometown shuttled students to dance classes, and the convenience and access this afforded her family of two working parents made an impression on Lindsey that still guides her today. 

Those early dancing days paid off, as Lindsey continued to dance through high school, earned her degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University, and worked for Universal Dance Association for seven summers. She has coached accomplished Birmingham Dance Teams such as the UAB Golden Girls and the Mountain Brook High School Dorians. 

Currently, Lindsey is choreographer and on the coaching staff for the Pizitz Treasures Dance Team and the Lady Liberties Dance Team. She also serves the dance community as a judge for both the National Dance Team Championship and the NDA National Dance Championship. 

Lindsey is married to her high school sweetheart Michael, and they live in Liberty Park with their two daughters Reese and Kate (both dancers!). 

Staying connected to preschool and elementary aged children gives Lindsey great joy as she imparts her skills, knowledge, and passion to the next generation, believing in the impact dance can have on our lives.
